It is with great pleasure that Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) congratulates the following students on being named to the Winter 2023 President's List. The winter terms run from January to May. Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Kennesaw State University congratulates the more than 5,000 students named to the Spring 2019 Dean's List. Students enrolled at least 9 credit hours and with a grade point average of at least 3.5 were named to the list.

Kennesaw State University recently named students to the President's List, in recognition of their academic excellence for the Spring 2019 semester. To achieve this honor, each student must have completed at least 9 semester hours with a term grade point average of 4.0.

The University of South Carolina Aiken releases the list of graduates for May 2019.

Welcome home, Bobcats! On Friday, June 7, 2019, Georgia College celebrates the newest students and their families as they attend New Student Orientation. Orientation is a day-long program packed with opportunities for new students to connect with faculty in their intended major and become familiar with the campus as well as the array of academic and campus life programs available. Orientation allows new members of the Bobcat family to "take care of business" as they prepare for move-in.

The University of North Georgia (UNG) had a record 65 current and former students attend the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) from April 11-13 at Kennesaw State University. UNG sent 77 people to NCUR, which ranked UNG as the No. 7 school for participants at the conference. Participants included students and faculty in anthropology and archaeology, biology, chemistry, computer science, education, history, music, physics, and psychology.

University of North Georgia (UNG) President Bonita C. Jacobs recognized students who achieved a 4.0 GPA during the spring 2019 semester. Students enrolled in 12 or more credit hours in bachelor's degree programs who achieved a 4.0 grade point average were named to the President's Honor Roll. Students enrolled in associate degree programs who met the same level of achievement were named to the President's List.

Alumna Brooklyn Rouse won the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program this year. She will spend at least one year in Japan as an assistant language teacher.

The deans of each of UNG's five colleges - the College of Arts & Letters, the College of Education, the College of Health Sciences & Professions, the Mike Cottrell College of Business, and the College of Science & Mathematics - announced the names of those students who made their respective lists for spring 2019. The University of South Carolina Aiken's Veterans Honor Society inducted more than 60 new members into the organization, which celebrates the academic achievements of veteran and military students.

The following local residents made the Spring 2019 Academic Achievement List at Georgia Southwestern State University and were among 600 students recognized for scholastic achievement.

Quinten Hanson won second place for a musical performance of "The Five Stages of Grief" at the 2019 Georgia State Undergraduate Research Conference.

Nearly 130 University of North Georgia (UNG) students performed research-based projects and presented their results during the poster sessions March 22 at the 24th Annual Research Conference (ARC) in the Convocation Center on UNG's Dahlonega Campus. Other students participated in panel discussions on topics such as educational experiences and musical research.

Oglethorpe University congratulates the following members of the incoming Class of 2023, who have received the James Edward Oglethorpe (JEO) Scholarship. This four-year, full-tuition award recognizes high school seniors with an outstanding record of academic achievement and great potential to contribute to the community life of Oglethorpe University.

Students who earn a place on the Fall 2018 Dean's List at Mary Baldwin University must have grade point averages of 3.50 to 3.74. To be eligible, a student must be a degree candidate and must have earned at least 12 semester hours for the grading period.

Georgia Southern University recently recognized approximately 3,300 students for excellence in academics on the Fall 2018 Dean's List. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have at least a 3.5 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

The following students have earned the distinction of Dean's List at the Georgia Institute of Technology for Fall 2018.

The following people recently were initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines.

More than 250 college students, faculty and staff members from across the Southeast participated in the Georgia Undergraduate Research Conference Nov. 3 at the University of North Georgia's (UNG) Gainesville Campus. This was the first time UNG hosted the regional conference.
